Arizona Cardinals Should Draft TCU's Andy Dalton in 2011 Draft

The 2011 NFL Draft is fast approaching, and it's the only way teams can improve personnel.

Due to the current NFL lockout, coaches and players are not allowed to talk football with one another, making free agency obsolete and free agents dance in limbo.

So what does Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt need to do in the NFL Draft so that he doesn't get canned? He needs to get a quarterback.

I'm not talking about drafting genius Blaine Gabbert of Missouri, or athletic Cam Newton of Auburn or even Ryan Mallet of Arkansas. They need a true winner.

They need to draft Andy Dalton.

The stats are there for Dalton. Over 65 percent pass completion in two straight seasons, over 20 touchdown passes, single digit interceptions and 166 passer rating in the year that the TCU Horned Frogs won every game and the Rose Bowl against the powerful Wisconsin Badgers.

The guy's a winner, and that is the kind of quarterback that the Arizona Cardinals need to draft.

The good news is that Andy Dalton might be a second round draft pick, which means they can get a playmaker like wide receivers A.J. Green of Georgia or Julio Jones of Alabama, or get Von Miller from Texas A&M to strengthen the defense and then get Dalton.

If Andy Dalton is the quarterback to get for the Cardinals, then they don't need to trade their pick, and they can get another top player as well.
