2011 NBA Mock Draft: Detroit Pistons Will Add Brandon Knight to Boost Offense

The Detroit Pistons Will Take Brandon Knight in the 2011 NBA Draft

No player on the Detroit Pistons averages more than 15 points per game. This team desperately needs a scorer. They could also use some youth on their team as well.

Drafting Brandon Knight will be a huge upgrade for the Pistons. Knight has yet to declare, but I believe he will. One and done is going to be a habit with Calipari as Kentucky. Knight is rated as one of the best point guards in the draft, so how could he not leave early?

The Pistons have decent point guards, but adding Knight to the roster will put more points on the board. The 6'3" 185 pound guard can shoot the lights out, and has proven he has the clutch gene.

His NCAA Tournament performance was above average. He struggled at times, but displayed he has the ability to score at will, as well as be a lock down defender. The Pistons need help on offense, and although they could use a big man down low, getting a scoring point guard here would be huge.

Scoring point guards are becoming big in the NBA. The Pistons need to make the right decision and add a scorer. The best available big men here would be foreign player, and that's too much of a risk. If he declares and is still on the board, Detroit will add Brandon Knight to run the point.
