College Football Rankings 2011: 5 Top 25 Teams You Shouldn't Bet on This Weekend

If you gamble, here are 5 teams that you need to stay away from this weekend.

Alabama (-10)

Alabama goes on the road to play Penn State on Saturday and it should be one of the best games of the weekend. The Tide?s defense is outrageously good but their quarterbacks threw for four interceptions against Kent State.

The crowd will be pumped up and this is a game that could most likely end by a field goal, not a field goal and a touchdown.

TCU (-1)

The Horned Frogs face off against an underrated Air Force team that is looking for some national respect. The Falcons nearly pulled off the upset the last time TCU visited and the Frogs? defense looks a lot less intimidating after surrendering 50 points to Baylor.

Take Air Force in the ?upset? if you do anything on this game.

USC (-9.5)

This is not a knock on USC, they have a very good football team and should have beaten Minnesota by a lot more than they actually did. This is credit to Utah and the passion they will come to play with against the Trojans.

As a rule of thumb, I always stay away from rivalries and other games with high energy because those games are almost a tossup, no matter how different the level of talent is.

Auburn (+6.5)

Auburn just looked awful on Saturday and it cannot be solely blamed on a lack of effort. Only eight starters off of last year?s national championship team return including just three of the defensive front seven.

Mississippi State will pound the ball away with Vick Ballard and Chris Relf and then go long on play action. That said, an embarrassing performance could renew the spirit in this team and they play inspired football.

Either way you want to stay away from Auburn.

Missouri (+7.5)

The Tigers did not look like they returned 19 starters last Saturday. They only scored 17 points against Miami of Ohio and that is just awful.

James Franklin underwhelmed and now the rookie has to go on the road to Arizona State. The talent is there for Missouri to come out with a win but their performance last weekend left a lot to be desired. Spend your money on a team where you know what you?re getting.
