Jersey Fouls Extra: Edmonton gets RAW with Sheldon Souray

Jersey Fouls is our ongoing exploration of the rules and etiquette for proper hockey jersey creation and exhibition. If you spot what you think may be a foul in your arena, email a photo to us atpuckdaddyblog@yahoo.com for inclusion in future installment.

Please recall at WWE SummerSlam when reigning women's champion Kelly Kelly was surprisingly revealed as the girlfriend of Dallas Stars defenseman Sheldon Souray, giving us renewed hope for (a) Souray wrestling in a hockey-stick-on-a-pole match at Wrestlemania and (b) Dan Carcillo one day dating Awesome Kong.

Meanwhile, the hockey world is adjusting to this new relationship accordingly. Here's what reader J.M.M. wore to "Monday Night RAW" in Edmonton last night ?there was as fabulous "Let's Go Oilers!" chant heard on TV ? honoring Souray by plastering his ladyfriend's name on his Edmonton Oilers sweater.

(UPDATE: From Puck Daddy reader Trent Walters, "There was also a small 'You screwed Souray' chant during a match that Kelly Kelly was ringside for." Just a reminder that Canadian wrestling fans are the greatest.)

As if it needed to be said: Not a Foul.

It can either be considered a Mockery Jersey (being that Souray is a former Oiler and thus free to be goofed on) or a Protest Jersey (based on the somewhat messy divorce between the player and team). And really, bringing up the girlfriend or wife is a standard of hockey chirping, so feel free to doctor those Mike Comrie jerseys to read "DUFF" ... should you actually own a Mike Comrie jersey.

It's been far too long since we had a proper Jersey Fouls gallery. Friday, friends ? we'll be gettin' down on Friday.
