Charlie Davies? agent told the Insider on Thursday night that he is in ?advanced discussions? with a non-MLS club about acquiring the American forward, who spent the past season with D.C. United.
Lyle Yorks, from James Grant Sports, said talks have progressed quickly and he should know by the middle of next week whether a deal will be reached. The most promising scenario is Davies being loaned by French club Sochaux, which owns his contract, to the prospective team. Yorks declined to name the interested club or its league. He dismissed reports that Bordeaux was pursuing Davies.
