On Wednesday morning, the Chicago Blackhawks made two roster moves. Daniel Carcillo was placed on IR, and Brandon Pirri was called up from Rockford.
Pirri, 20, has appeared in one regular-season game with Chicago this year, collecting his first National Hockey League point, an assist, in 15:43 of ice time on Oct. 7 in Dallas. He ranks seventh in the AHL, and leads Rockford, with 31 points and ranks 10th in the league with a team-best 13 goals in 28 games this season.
Marcus Kruger’s status for Wednesday night’s game against Montreal is questionable (doubtful) after he was unable to go in the final two periods last night in Pittsburgh.
