2011 NFL Draft: St. Louis Rams Get Their Man at 14th Spot

Julio Jones Slips To Team That Needs Him Most

Sam Bradford  made great strides as a rookie and had the Rams on the verge of a playoff spot. Neither of that is as impressive as the  fact that he did so without a top notch receiver.

Mark Clayton will be back next fall and those young receivers like Danny Amendola and Brandon Gibson had nice seasons. But  adding a player like Jones would take the Rams offense from "promising" to "powerful."

Jones has just as much potential as A.J. Green, but will fall several spots behind his SEC counterpart because his skills weren't showcased as much in the Alabama offense; the recent  foot injury will also be a factor.

But he too has blistering speed, runs good routes, has outstanding hands and is the ideal size for an NFL first-option receiver.
