2011 NBA Mock Discussed Where Morris Twins Will Land
Twins Marcus and Markieff Morris left the Kansas Jayhawks to test the waters of the NBA. When they found out they would most likely both be first round picks they never looked back.
Marcus is projected as a surefire lottery pick, whereas Markieff is on the borderline of a lottery pick. Marcus is a hybrid forward as he can play the three or the four at the next level. He's 6'9", 230 pounds and is quite versatile. He can post up against anyone as well as knock down the jump shot.
Markieff on the other hand is the better defender. His offensive skills have been improving, but they still need work. He is projected to play the power forward spot at the next level, and possibly at center if needed.
With seven teams having two first round picks, is there a chance for these two to be drafted by the same team?

A few mock drafts ago I mentioned that the Morris twins should go to the same team. They have played together all their lives, and if they could play on the same team in the NBA they would continue to be dominant.
ESPN Insider Chad Ford's latest mock draft has the Morris twins being drafted by the Charlotte Bobcats. They are the only team with a realistic chance to draft the twins.
Charlotte has the No. 9 picks and the No. 19 pick. If they're able to draft the Morris twins then they certainly need to do it because they will make the Bobcats a much stronger team.
The only problem with this is the stock of Markieff. It's hard to know if Markieff will still be on the board for the Bobcats at No. 19. His stock is increasing because of his size and superb defense. I have a hard time believing he'll get past the New York Knicks.
It all depends on how the draft plays out. There could be some surprises which may lead to the Bobcats drafting the twins.
In the end, I don't believe they will be drafted to the same team, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't want to see it.
