MLS, Fox agree to 1-year pact

Major League Soccer and Fox Soccer agreed to a one-year deal Friday, continuing the broadcasting relationship between the two that goes back to 2003. Financial terms of the deal were not released. The opening game of the Fox Soccer Channel slate is the first-ever MLS match for the Portland Timbers, when the expansion side takes on MLS Cup champion Colorado Rapids on March 19. The match is one of seven featuring the Rapids, which ties them for most appearances on FSC with the Los Angeles Galaxy.
