For the sake of it being the only football game on this Sunday, let's pretend the NFL Pro Bowl actually matters.
Come on, you can do it.
OK, now that you're pumped for this AFC/NFC showdown and know the players are ready to give it their all on every snap, let's break this game down.
Upon looking over the rosters, one thing's obvious, the AFC's defense is in trouble with Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers. Oh yea, Cam Newton, too.
Heck, the entire NFC offense is stacked like, well, and All-Star team.
Brees and Rodgers will be handing off to LeSean McCoy and Matt Forte.
They'll be throwing to Greg Jennings, Steve Smith, Larry Fitzgerald and Roddy White.
Yes, the AFC's loaded too, but is their third quarterback as dangerous as Newton?
Definitely not.
Many of the AFC's most talented players aren't participating due to injury—like Ray Rice, Arian Foster, Haloti Ngata, Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu—or a Super Bowl appearance, like Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and Wes Welker.
Simply not as much explosiveness.
The AFC defense still has Ray Lewis, James Harrison, (what will he do if he can't lay people out?) Darrelle Revis and Tamba Hali; I just see them having many issues with the NFC's ridiculously high-powered offense.
The Pro Bowl is typically a shootout, and we're bound to see some major yardage and points in this year's game.
