The Premier League season has been a spectacular one regardless of who you support. So fans of club's like West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers may be struggling to see the beauty of this season's competition, but according to the stats it has been one of the best since the Premier League's debut season in 1992-1993.
The League has already seen two record-breaking weekends this season. The first of which was a weekend that happened to become the first time in the top flight that every single team out of the 20 had scored. That meant no clean sheets all round, and despite none of them being particularly high scoring affairs, the record being broken was still entertaining.
The second of these record-breaking weekends was more recent and had a record amount of goals scored over the course of the weekend. While Sunday's football failed to live up to the high standards of Saturday's, the weekend was still very exciting. Scores ranged from 5-3 to some very entertaining 2-1's on Saturday. There was an average of about 6 goals per game, with over 40 scored on Saturday alone.
Regardless of records, the Premier League table has shaped up to be slightly different than people would have predicted at the start of the season.
Relegation favourites Blackpool spent half of their season just outside the European places and can still feel confident of staying up in the league despite dropping down to 16th in recent months.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have had a horrid season by their standards, languishing in 5th position and at a very real risk of falling outside of the Champions League qualification positions.
After 27 games each, only 12 points separate 7th position from 20th, leaving a lot of room for change by the end of the season.
There are also seven teams battling it out for just four Champions League places this season. While Arsenal and Manchester United look guaranteed to remain in the top four positions, Manchester City (3rd) are only four points clear of Chelsea (5th) with the London team having a game in hand on the club. Tottenham are also in the middle of that fight, having another great opportunity to qualify for the Champions League again.
Regardless of who you support in the Premier League it is arguably one of the most exciting leagues in the World at the moment, and while the flair of clubs like Barcelona may not be seen week in and week out, there is still plenty of reason to rate the Premier League.
With the league established in 1992, it is 2010-2011 that stands out as one of the best seasons in the division's history, and it's not even finished yet.
