Women?s World Cup: U.S. soccer scores twice late for 3-1 win over France

France controlled the action for a good portion of the game, but the United States had enough in the tank to score two late goals in a 3-1 win over France in the Women?s World Cup semifinals. The Americans advanced to the final for the first time since winning it all in 1999.

Abby Wambach and Alex Morgan scored about three minutes apart late in the game to provide the final margin. Lauren Cheney opened the scoring in the ninth minute.
