D.C. United defender Dejan Jakovic injured a hamstring in the first half of the Canada?s 2-2 draw with Ecuador on Wednesday night in Toronto, the team?s final tuneup for the Gold Cup.
Canada Coach Stephen Hart told reporters at BMO Field that Jakovic might not be able to play in the CONCACAF tournament. Canada?s opener is Tuesday against the United States at Ford Field in Detroit.
Jakovic, a regular starter for both United and Canada, was injured in the 39th minute.
