FIFA rankings: Spain, Netherlands, Germany

FIFA's world rankings show world champion Spain remaining at the top of the list, followed by Netherlands, Germany, Argentina, Brazil, England, Uruguay, Croatia, Portugal and Greece. While it's fun to scan the full results, they should, as usual, be taken with a pinch of salt. (Croatia and Greece in the top 10?) The United States is No. 19, down one slot this month, although favorable results in upcoming friendlies against Argentina and No. 24 Paraguay, a World Cup quarterfinalist, would boost the Americans' standing. The top-100 breakdown by confederations: UEFA 44 Africa 22 CONCACAF 12 Asia 11 South America 10 (all) Oceania 1
