Video: Watch Minnesota Wild's odd nose-tweaking goal celebration

The Minnesota Wild had a record-breaking night at the Calgary Flames on Wednesday, winning 6-0 in the most lopsided shutout road win in franchise history. It was also a historic night for Wild forward/checking machine Cal Clutterbuck, who scored his career-high 14th goal in the third period.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, defenseman Greg Zanon decided to play a quick game of "gotch'er nose" with Clutterbuck while playfully stroking the facial hair of his teammates. Why yes, it did look as odd as it sounds on TSN:

Because he's awesome, Star Tribune beat writer Michael Russo asked Zanon and Clutterbuck about the celebration after the game:

Kyle Brodziak, great for a month, helped the Wild's 2-for-2 penalty kill, won 16 faceoffs and set up three goals. His first assist to Havlat was pretty because it took a second and third effort. His second came on Clutterbuck's career-high 14th goal, one that included defenseman Greg Zanon comically rubbing Clutterbuck's nose in the goal celebration.

"We're just having fun, obviously winning and playing with confidence, and we had a good time tonight," Zanon said.

"I just remember looking at Brodziak's face and almost bursting out laughing," Clutterbuck said. "He had this shocked look on his face."

It seems as though there's a new team rocketing up the standings in the Western Conference every week, and now it's the Wild's turn. They've won three straight, outscoring their opponents 14-1, and are one point behind the Chicago Blackhawks for the No. 8 seed. For the month, they're 7-3. Guess Todd Richards is off that hot seat.
