Ohio State QB Braxton Miller?s Injury Turned out to Be a Huge Momentum-Shifter

The phrase “Game-Changer” if often reserved for an explosive playmaker who has the ability to change games with one single play, but on Saturday night, it was used to describe a devastating injury to the Ohio State offense.

When Ohio State freshman quarterback Braxton Miller went down with an apparent right ankle injury midway through the third quarter of the Buckeyes’ battle with Nebraska, it turned out to be the much-needed momentum boost that the Cornhuskers were in desperate need of.

Ohio State was up 27-6 in the third quarter, but without Miller, the offense fell flat and Nebraska managed to capitalize and roar all the way back to pick up a 34-27 comeback victory.

Miller’s replacement, Joe Bauserman, was his usual terrible self, completing just one out of his 10 pass attempts and tossing an interception.

It was obvious that Miller’s injury was the true momentum-shifter of the ball game.

Although his status has yet to be officially updated, it’s clear to see that Ohio State is a completely different team when Miller’s on the field as opposed to Bauserman.

The Buckeyes will head to Illinois this weekend and if they have any hope of knocking off the No. 19 Illini, they’re going to need Miller under center.

Stay tuned for an official word on his status for this Saturday’s game.
