D.C. United news & notes: Dejan Jakovic, Ethan White, Brandon McDonald, Dwayne De Rosario, Bill Hamid, Comcast, B.C. Place

*Dejan Jakovic, sidelined since late August after injuring a hamstring, did not travel with D.C. United to Vancouver for Wednesday?s critical MLS match against the last-place Whitecaps but fellow center back Ethan White has recuperated from a sprained knee and is available, Coach Ben Olsen said.

The third regular central defender, Brandon McDonald, returned from a one-game suspension and is expected to start. His partner will be White, Perry Kitchen (who has played right back most of the season) or Daniel Woolard (normally a left back). Kitchen and Woolard were paired in the previous match, at Columbus, while McDonald, Jakovic and White sat out.
