Chris Paul: Locked-Out Stars Show Unity in CP3's Charity Game

NBA stars are showed up in full force and ready to put on a show in a Chris Paul's charity game. The game further proved the point that where these guys go, there is money to be made.

So, while the lockout has been bad for the NBA, the players and the fans, it has been great for charity.

Just check out some of the participants for this game.

Miami Heat’s LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony and Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant were all on the court flashing their skills in this contest. That is more star power than you are going to get in any NBA game.

This game not only provides a chance to raise money for a good cause, but it gives players a chance to show a unified front to the NBA, and win in the court of public opinion.

Here is Chris Paul on the game, as quoted on nola.com:

“I hope the fans are enjoying this, but I guarantee nobody is enjoying it more than us. These guys flew in here on their own time. People say this and that about NBA players and professional athletes, but these guys are doing this out of the goodness of their heart.’’

This game was just a week after Carmelo Anthony hosted a charity game, and comes just before the Heat’s big three of James, Wade and Chris Bosh host a charity game.

The stars are going are taking turns going to each other's events, and using every opportunity to show David Stern and the NBA that they are unified and not worried about the lockout.
