WWE Extreme Rules is going to be more interesting than it looked two weeks ago.
With the WWE Draft having completely redesigned the rosters, the outcome of tonight’s matches should ignite programs for the next couple of months that lead into the build for SummerSlam.
The real question WWE has heading into tonight(and believe me when I tell you that there are things the WWE isn’t so sure about) is whether or not the WWE is interested in shaking it up.
The same old story would be Cena winning the belt, and Christian keeping the title on SmackDown, but the WWE has a chance to make things interesting.
Giving Del Rio the win would make sense on a few levels, but it creates the kind of chaos that gets people tuning in.
The same thing goes for Morrison winning the belt tonight. While he’s clearly an afterthought in the match, his winning it(especially if he manages to create a dramatic and surprising victory)would create a the kind of drama that would spike the ratings for more than just Rock’s appearance on Monday Night Raw.
There is no doubt that the WWE is going to have big decisions to make tonight. Let’s hope they make the right ones.
