Tampa Bay Buccaneers Draft Picks Shore Up Defensive Line
1st: Adrian Clayborn (DE) Iowa
2nd: Da'Quan Bowers (DE) Clemson
3rd: Mason Foster (ILB) Washington
4th: Luke Stocker (TE) Tennessee
5th: Ahmad Black (S) Florida
6th: Allen Bradford (RB) USC
7th: Anthony Gaitor (CB) Fla Int'l
7th: Daniel Hardy (TE) Idaho
GRADE: A-
The first two picks are a major victory for the Bucs. Adrian Clayborn would have been enough to improve the Tampa pass rush, which was the worst in the NFC last year.
But rolling the dice on Da'Quan Bowers is a tremendous move. Yes, there are major issues about his knee, but if he pans out--even two or three years from now--it's worth a second round choice. He was the premier defensive lineman in this draft until the news of the bulky knee.
And they've added nice depths for the defense with the later choices, including Ahmad Black who was an outstanding defender at Florida.

Luke Stocker, Daniel Hardy, and Allen Bradford probably won't become starters for quite a while if ever, but they give Josh Freeman some depth to work with in case of injuries to Kellen Winslow or LeGarrette Blount.
The only question mark was cornerback: if they do end up cutting Aqib Talib, they should have moved on a corner earlier then the seventh round.
