According to a report published by Sky Sports, Liverpool FC is understood to be interested in Bayern Munich's Hamit Altintop with Jose Mourinho thought to be closing in on the player.
The 28-year old Altintop will be out of contract in the summer, and he's been widely linked to a move to Real Madrid, who have already signed his countrymen Nuri Sahin this week.
Liverpool is trying to convince the versatile midfielder, who can play on the right as an attacker or in a holding role, that he should come to England instead.
Altintop's preferred destination seems to be Real Madrid with the player stating that it would be a dream to play for the club, however he's insisting that he hasn't signed yet.
In other news, Kenny Dalglish is said to have been handed a £50million transfer budget for next season and one of the players being linked is the "German Messi."
Kenny Dalglish would be a busy man in the summer transfer window as he seeks to bring in fresh faces on the wings and in defense to boost his squad for next season in order to regain the Champions League spot.
