2011 NFL Mock Draft: Baltimore Ravens Getting Defensive at No. 26?

2011 NFL Mock Draft Says Baltimore Ravens Won't Pass on Ohio State's Cameron Heyward

The Baltimore Ravens always do a good job of finding talent in the NFL draft and it has shown in their continued success over the last few years.

They have a tremendous offensive core with Joe Flacco, Ray Rice, Anquan Boldin and Ed Dickson (a bit premature, but I like him).

Baltimore does need another wide receiver though, because Derrick Mason cannot defy father time forever and T.J. Houshmandzadeh did not get the job done last season.

Adding another target out wide for Flacco has to be priority early in the draft, primarily a receiver that can stretch the field.

Defensively their major need is in the secondary.

Their pass rush will always help them out in this area, but they desperately need some talented players on the outside.

They could always go with another pass rusher, and could also look for another force on the defensive front line.

The Ravens are big fans of value and that is what Cameron Heyward is here.

He has the ability to take over games when he wants, plays with a very good motor and has the tools to excel in this defense.

It does not address their biggest need but he just fits as a Ravens player in their odd front.
