NFL Trade Rumors: Dolphins? Chad Henne Can?t Let Kyle Orton Rumors Drown Him

Chad Henne and Tony Sparano have made it known they are upset by the fans chanting for Kyle Orton during practice.

Boo hoo. Cry me a river.

The fans are justified in their chants considering how pathetic this team was as a whole last team and how even more atrocious Henne was as the starting quarterback. Perhaps if the man didn?t throw wobbly inaccurate passes and possessed the willingness to throw down the field the fans wouldn?t chant for a new quarterback to represent the team.

Fact of the matter is that Henne has proven time and time again not to be a starting quarterback in the NFL, much to my dismay considering he was one of my favorite quarterback prospects in the 2008 draft class.

He played for four-years at Michigan and looked to be the strong-minded, strong-willed and intelligent quarterback the Dolphins needed. Yet instead of using his current fan-bashing as motivated, he is clearly letting it eat him up inside.

?Miami Dolphins quarterback Chad Henne says he was stung by the cries from some fans at an open training camp practice earlier this week.

Henne, the presumed starter, heard some fans chanting that they wanted the team to trade for Denver's Kyle Orton. Dolphins coach Tony Sparano defended Henne, saying those jeers ?really make me sick.?

Henne says he appreciated Sparano standing up for him, noting Thursday 'that's how this team works.'

Henne also says he believes he's competing every day to keep the starting job he held last season,? according to SportsIllustrated.com Staff.

Instead of crying about the fans? cries for a new quarterback in Orton, Henne needs to channel his emotions and use it as motivated to better himself as a quarterback. He needs to prove to everyone that he is the leader Bill Parcells envisioned. He needs to prove that he is willing to throw down the field and hit his receivers with accurate passes. Unfortunately for the Dolphins fans and wide receivers, he still doesn?t seem ready to take the next step.

He appears destined to be a career backup in the NFL as he has thrown just 27 touchdowns to 33 interceptions. He has yet to show he can lead this team to victory and is on his last legs as a starter.

Sparano and the front office did a fantastic job via the draft and free agency. They refused to bring in a new quarterback, which means they are once again showing faith in their man. There?s nothing else anybody can for him, it?s up to Henne himself to take the leap. Quit your crying about what the fans are saying and put them eat their words already.
