Friday kickaround: Women?s World Cup, FIFA rankings, Ali Krieger chat, MLS, Mike Ammann, D.C. United

*Despite finishing second at the Women?s World Cup, the United States retained the No. 1 position in the FIFA rankings. The top five remained unchanged ? USA, Germany, Brazil, Japan, Sweden ? and England moved four slots to No. 6. The biggest fall in the top 20: North Korea, which failed to advance out of group play, dropping four places to No. 12. (What exactly is the point of these rankings if the world champion remains at No. 4? Oh, FIFA.)

*USA defender Ali Krieger, from Dumfries and Forest Park High School, is The Post?s special guest for a live online chat at 10:30 a.m. ET today. Submit your questions, follow along and read the complete transcript.
