Mayweather vs. Pacquiao: Pac-Man Expected to Demand Super Fight with Money

Manny Pacquiao has never been one to back down from an opponent, so when he says he wants to fight Floyd Mayweather, you better believe him.

With Mayweather’s prison sentence delayed, there is now an opportunity to sneak the mega fight in on May 5 before Money has to go to prison for domestic abuse.

Pacquiao would be trying to assert himself as the best of this generation and stop Mayweather’s career-long undefeated streak.

Pacquiao told Boxing Scene.com who he wants to fight next:

I‘ve said this over and over before and I’m saying this again, I want Floyd Mayweather Jr. to be my next opponent and I haven’t changed my choice despite recent developments. I am meeting with my promoter, Bob Arum on Tuesday and I will insist that the fight with Mayweather be given the preference than the four others in the list I will fight next. It’s not really fair for some quarters to blame me if, in the long run, the fight wouldn’t push through. When Arum sits in the negotiation table, he will be laying on the table all the conditions we want, which , everybody knew already are simple. That I will abide by his demand for drug testing. I am even agreeable to get lesser purse just so the fight would push through. In other words, as far as my side is concerned, there will be no problem

There have always been arguments on which of the two fighters were actually dragging their feet in getting this fight done, but it has always appeared to be Mayweather. Just like in the above interview, Pac-Man has always wanted this fight.

There has been a steady stream of bull fed to the media by Mayweather that has made Pacquiao look bad, but it’s all about to change if Money gets the guts. Now that there are no questions that Pac-Man will do whatever it takes to get this fight going, the pressure is on Mayweather.

And he is scared.

Pacquiao has never been the trash-talking kind, but year after year of taking verbal abuse from Floyd will cause the Filipino star to come into this fight more ready than at any other time in his life.

While this fight will be close if it ever does come to fruition, Pacquiao will win by decision, and Mayweather will never stop crying.
