Center back Clarence Goodson, who was expected to start in the U.S. national team?s friendly against Mexico on Wednesday, was scratched from the roster because of a hamstring injury suffered playing in a Danish league match Sunday.
It?s the third personnel setback for new coach Juergen Klinsmann since announcing his selections for the match at Philadelphia?s Lincoln Financial Field. Right back Timmy Chandler was allowed to remain with his German club in order to solidify his starting role and midfielder Maurice Edu injured a calf with Rangers over the weekend.
