Fight night comes down at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. It a clash of a legend versus a man trying to restore his reputation.
Mosley only has a fight or two left in him, after that he become an afterthought. No one believes he can beat Manny, but what Mosley must do isn’t about victory, it’s about presenting well.
He must stay with Manny. He must take his punches and deliver them back. Mosley doesn’t have to win to erase the label “washed up.”
Just battling Manny will go a long way in making the public forget about his dismal performance against Sergio Mora and the beating he took at the hands of Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Mosley doesn’t have to slay the beast, just prove he can stand toe to toe with him and put a second of doubt into the viewers minds that he could do the impossible and beat Manny.
It’s a lot to ask, but with few fights left in him, it would make sense to just empty the tank tonight.
Mosley’s got nothing, so he has nothing to lose.
