Sometimes, a 50-3 record as a starting quarterback is all you need to know about who is behind center and what kind of player he is.
But if you are barely 6'0" and 197 pounds and your name is Kellen Moore, your entire body of work while at Boise State is placed under a microscope. Who is this passer with a pudgy frame and questionable mechanics? Was he a product of the Boise State system or does he have the moxy and know how to get the job done at the next level?
He isn't as polished as Drew Brees (no one really is) but he is close in stature to the Saints' great. While he looks like the second coming of Bobby Brady, he has a lot of drive and is a good leader, and helped put Boise State on the map.
His credentials are impressive: In the final game of 2008, Boise State lost to Texas Christian University (TCU) in the 2008 Poinsettia Bowl. In 2009 Moore threw for a school record 39 touchdowns with only three interceptions to lead the Broncos to a 14–0 record, another WAC title, and an at-large bid to the Fiesta Bowl vs. undefeated No. 4 ranked TCU.
In his career in Idaho, Moore was a finalist for the Davey O'Brien Award, the Maxwell Award, and the Manning Award.
But still, scouts and coaches have to wonder if he can play well at the next level. Here are some highlights that might be able to sway their decision.
