Did Shad Gaspard get tackled for Jaywalking?
There are usually three sides to every story. There's one side, the other side, and then the truth. I'm sure the truth and Shad are probably close together, but I have a hard time believing they are the same thing.
The former WWE star was arrested for jaywalking. His wife tweeted that he was arrested for jaywalking and that he was tackled by police.
Now, I have yet to see the TMZ footage she claims exists, but if anyone else can find it, it would be worth seeing.
Still, is it likely that all he did was jaywalk?
There's a slippery slope we go down when he start calling people liars or questioning the integrity of their statements, but it has to be asked: Who do you know that has ever been tackled for jaywalking?
Of course there are crazier things that have happened, but I'll guess that, like most things, there is more than meets the eye in this story. Even if that means that Shad was wrongfully tackled for simply walking across the street.
It appears Shad has signed on to work with a Japanese wrestling company. This is apparently the next step for the American wrestler. After the WWE, either you go to Japan, wrestle the ultra-depressing local circuit, or you do something else. At least Japan pays well (so it's been said).
However, a guy with limited wrestling skill like Shad needs to be very careful not to get himself in trouble and ruin opportunities that he's not likely to get again. Getting tackled isn't a good start. Hopefully it was a misunderstanding, but either way it's a friendly reminder to us all not to jaywalk.
